In the glass, a shiny straw color with a golden wheat hue. On the nose, a combination of citrus oils, bittersweet floral perfume, lime and tangerine are interlaced with saline coastal undertones. The palate is naturally plush yet dry, with an inherent softness and roundness coming from within. Suggestions of orange creamsicle, pear tart and freshly cut grass and botanicals make way for a vibrant, echoing finale.

FURTHER NOTES

Did you know that Sauvignon Blanc has been quietly growing at Benjamin Bridge Vineyards for 22 years?

At the time we planted it, Sauvignon Blanc was an eccentric choice and possibly even bordering on reckless (and maybe still is!). However, the promise of an extraordinary reward - a unique synergy between Sauvignon Blanc and the tidal ecosystem of the Bay of Fundy - was worth the highest risks to allow the creation of something absolutely unique in the world.

Thanks to the frost protection provided by our coastal breezes, these 20+ year old vines have now formally entered their prime, meaning they now possess an ability to produce a Sauvignon Blanc of uncommon richness and complexity.

If traditional Nova Scotia white wines have often relied on the balance achieved by taming the very high acidity with residual sugar, Wild Rock is a completely new and unprecedented display of inherent roundness and softness; dry yet anything but racy and angular. The unlocking of this game-changing style is partly climatic, and represents a significant step in the evolution and adaptability of Benjamin Bridge regarding climate change. Expect this wine to convey extraordinary aromatic and textural depth, something that can only come from circumstances as rare and challenging as this agricultural tour-de-force.
