In the glass, a pale golden colour with a straw hue. On the nose, the wine displays suggestions of smoke and lemon rind with strong sea minerals undertones. The palate is luscious, but with good intensity and vibrancy. Hints of green apples and dried cranberries are magnified by the wine’s bright structure, unfolding in a lengthy mineral finish.
Our go-to bubbly to suit any occasion is our flagship non-vintage Brut.
A great sparkling wine must achieve the narrow balance between richness and freshness. Low yields, dry weather, and fruit maturity are some of the important factors that influence the level of richness. Freshness is a quality which has never been at stake in our ultra-cool climate terroir, even at full ripeness. Needless to say, all of these factors are scrutinized with each vintage, with the moderating effect of the Bay of Fundy helping to elongate the growing season with naturally low yields less than half the industry standard.
Layering richness from the older reserve wines with the vibrancy of young vintages, and an abundance of saline minerality, this is our in-house classic. It is aimed at consistently capturing the proverbial qualities of our unique micro-climate every year. To do so, the NV Brut taps into the Benjamin Bridge library of sparkling wine that spans well over a decade, including blending components from our inaugural 2002 vintage. The result is a signature house style, which embodies the perfect introduction to our Méthode Classique portfolio.
