TASTING NOTES

In the glass, a luminous salmon hue shimmers with subtle darker undertones. The nose unfolds delicately, offering a refined interplay of berries, citrus zest, and the suggestion of windswept minerals. On the palate, a graceful texture is balanced by savoury undertones, offering depth without weight. Each sip evokes the warmth of sun-soaked stone and the brisk clarity of ocean air.

FURTHER NOTES

Each vintage, our Cabernet Franc Rosé is crafted from Nova Scotia's oldest Cabernet Franc planting, favourably situated on the upper slopes of our vineyard overlooking the Habitant Estuary. This exceptional wine embodies a viticultural tour de force, where grape varietal, ecosystem, and terroir intertwine in extraordinary harmony. Protected by the estuary's sheltering embrace, our Cabernet Franc block has weathered three decades of unpredictable climatic swings, demonstrating remarkable resilience. This precious vineyard parcel has already secured its place in Nova Scotia's winemaking legacy, showcasing the incredible potential that emerges from sites with such distinct and expressive terroir. The result is a wine of beautiful balance, where vibrant tension meets elegant roundness on the palate, with complex textures that unfold into a lingering, satisfying finish.

The 2024 growing season in Nova Scotia, particularly in the Gaspereau and Annapolis Valleys, was marked by exceptional climatic conditions. A historic stretch of dry and warm weather from late August to mid-October provided an ideal environment for grape ripening. This period saw minimal rainfall, allowing for balanced and controlled maturation of the grapes. The season accumulated 1,240 growing degree days, significantly surpassing the 10-year average, which contributed to the development of intense aromatic complexity in the grapes
