In the glass, a pale salmon colour with a magenta hue. On the nose, hints of esh cream and biscuit and punctuated by savoury notes of strawberry pastry and raspberry ganache. On the palate, suggestions of poached apricot, toasted brioche, spun honey and crème de cassis lead a vibrating finish. A very vinous rosé with drive and length.
The ‘17 Brut Rosé follows our ‘16 vintage and begins to establish a new clarity in methodology for our evolving sparkling wine program at Benjamin Bridge.
A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, this wine features decadence and unprecedented textural richness.
We can attribute these qualities in part to the synergetic combination of warmer climatic parameters in 2017, as well as reimagined artisanal methodologies centred around full malolactic fermentation and extended ageing in 600L demi-muid barrels.
Made from three microclimates combining their complementary strengths, this wine features the elegance of our estate Habitant vineyard, the freshness and energy of the highly moderated Digby neck, and the complexity resulting from delayed harvest dates near the Minas Basin. Having patiently awaited optimal ripeness on the vine with harvest dates delayed beyond October 20th, the opulence of this wine is derived directly from the generosity of the vintage.
