The Chardonnay vines were planted in the late 1990s, and are some of, if not the oldest, vinifera in the Province of Nova Scotia - a plot which continues to produce exceptional fruit for our vintage cuvées each year.

This wine is considered historically important for our winery, as it is this very cuvée, firmly rooted in our maritime terroir, that demonstrated the incredible opportunity to craft traditional method sparkling wines of the highest calibre. After more than a decade's long investment in research and top-quality viticulture and winemaking, we were rewarded with the release of our highly-anticipated 2004s, which established Benjamin Bridge's reputation as Nova Scotia's sparkling wine house.

Only 337 bottles of this exceptional wine were produced, and in 2013 the first allocation was released exclusively to BB Club Members whereupon it sold out immediately. Since then, Benjamin Bridge has released just a few bottles at a time from our family cellar, or "the library", upon special request.

Now, after more than seven years of additional ageing under cork and approaching its absolute optimum drinking window, we are releasing just 24 bottles of this important part of our history. BB Club Members' are given first access.
